In how many styes can I wear the Infinite Dress?
Since its launch in 1976, the Infinite Dress concept has offered women around the world the freedom to design the style they want to wear. When the Infinite Dress was selected for the opening parade of the Latin Model Pageant in 1994, the models were able to come up with over 389 different styles, all by themselves! This is how the dress became known as "the dress that can be worn in over 100 different styles." But, actually, we have seen women wearing the dress in over 400 different styles in the past decade alone!
Although it is for you to decide the style in which you want to wear it, the dress comes with a brochure that shows you step by step instructions for 34 styles. These styles can be easily modified to short or long sleeve, or short or long dress. That is about 102 styles according to my math! Additionally, the dress also comes with an instructional DVD that includes additional other styles which can also be modified.
We give you enough style ideas to start playing with your Infinite Dress. But, realistically, you will probably choose the styles that feel right for you, and after some practice, you will end up modifying your favorite Infinite styles into your very own unique styles. We look forward to seeing your unique style! Please send us your photo to Info@infiniteDress.com
When I receive the dress how will I know how to get started?
Your Infinite Dress, as well as your Infinite Pantsuit, come with an Illustrated Guide and a DVD to show you how to change into different styles. (See In how many styes can I wear the Infinite Dress? above.)
The idea of having fabric in the shape of a tube in your hands can be surprising. That's part of the fun of it! You can create the styles you like, but first, read the Illustrated Guide and view the DVD. They DO work. Everything you need to know to handle this amazing concept is included in the Illustrated Guide and DVD.
The exploration of possibilities is what makes this dress such a success. The dress is to be enjoyed. It is for the Designer In You to decide what styles you want to wear.
Black is the world's favorite, red the second most popular. Because you are going to enjoy this dress for many years to come, choosing black will be most practical and economical. Black is right for all occasions. It's appropriate for the Opera, office or restaurant. The Infinite Dress in black is the classic dress to take everywhere you want to travel.
Customers that have experienced and enjoyed the Infinite in black often add to their collection by ordering a red Infinite. This provides even more options.
For special requests, we can make dresses in other colors as well, e.g., for weddings. A bride recently ordered six Infinite Dresses to be made in her favorite color. The bridesmaids were very happy with the choice of the Infinite Dress. The dress fitted beautifully and, after the ceremony, the bridesmaids changed into their own individual styles. The party was a great success! Special orders are always welcome.
Which size should I order?
Measure around your waist and your hip area, and determine which of the two is wider. We call this your circumference.
The hip area is about 7 inches, or 18 centimeters, below the waist. Whichever has your greater measurement, your waist or your hips, determines the correct size for you. No other measurement is required.
Here are the guidelines:
Small is for a circumference up to 38 inches / 97 centimeters.
Medium is for a circumference up to 43 inches / 110 centimeters.
Large is for a circumference to 47 inches / 120 centimeters.
X Large is a circumference up to 54 inches / 137 centimeters.
A larger size is usually better than a smaller size, unless you are very slim.

What is the length of the dress?
The Infinite Dress has no fixed length per se. You have the final say in its length and how you want to wear it. You may want to wear one style long, and another style shorter. How can that be, you may ask? We can explain.
The Infinite Dress is cut in standard lengths based on the size of the dress. The cut lengths are as follows: Small 30 to 32 inches (77 to 79 centimeters); Medium 33 to 34 inches (85 to 87 centimeters); Large 36 to 38 inches (92 to 95 centimeters); X-Large 40 to 44 inches (102 to 112 centimeters).
However, the cut length does not determine how long you may actually wear the dress. The style you choose is what determines the length. This is because the dress has no set waist and no set point to define a specific length. The length you wear the dress is totally up to you.
The variance in dress length is possible because of the dress' only seam. This seam can go under the arm, in the front or in the back. When worn under the arm the length is measured from the length under the arm to the legs. When the seam is at the front of the dress, your choices may be to pull to the neck line, or to the collarbone, or down under the bust area.
When the seam is at the back, the dress is shorter than when the seam is at the front simply because you want to cover the bust. However, should you want to take the round size to the waist and cover the bust with the tails, you achieve a longer length.

Where
is the dress made?
The dress is made by caring and loving hands in the
United States of America.
What
brassiere is best for this dress?
The Infinite Dress can be worn with a regular bra with
styles 2, 3 and 4 in your booklet, as well as with styles
11, 13 and 14. For the other styles, a strapless bra or a
glue-on bra works best. The stay-up comes with special
glue and holds well without falling.
Is the dress washable?
Yes, the dress is machine washable. Wash it with your color clothes as it may bleed a bit the first few washes. You can hang dry it or put it in the dryer at low heat.
How does the Infinite Dress compare with other convertible dresses?
We only know of two other companies that sell dresses that are meant to be worn in multiple styles.
1. The first is a well known company that has a dress that can be changed into 7 different styles. The first difference is that you can only wear it in 7 styles. The reason for this is that the torso is fitted with princess seams, which limits the styles. The skirt is like a swing-stile skirt with uneven lengths. This also limits the versatility of the dress, as the style of hte skirt is somewhat dated and cannot be changed, whereas the Infinite skirk is a straight, clean, classic, timeless look that looks appropriate in casual as well as business and gala settings.
2. The second company is a new company that makes a bridesmaid dress that can be worn in 12 different ways. They only make custom orders, and their turn-around time is a minimum of 6 weeks. Like the previous company, the first difference is that you can only wear it in 12 styles. The reason for this is the same, that the torso is fitted, which limits the styles. The skirt is also like a swing-stile skirt with uneven lengths. This limits the versatility of the dress, as the style of the skirt is somewhat dated and cannot be changed, whereas the Infinite skirt is a straight, clean, classic, timeless look that looks appropriate in casual as well as business and gala settings.
There have been several companies that have attempted to copy the Infinite dress and have created a really inferior product. Some of them even use the name "Infinite Dress". Unfortunately, when you have a good product, eventually someone imitates it. These imitations are inferior in craftsmanship and fabric quality. We routinely receive complaints from people who have purchased such imitations because they simply do not work.
